Hauptplatz 10

Location

The small two-storeyed building at Hauptplatz 10 in Friesach stands on the south-western corner of the main square.

It is directly attached to the neighbouring property at Hauptplatz No. 11.

History

In 1600, the house was owned by a tollkeeper.

From the late 18th century until the 19th century, the property remained in the ownership of a master tailor.

Architectural History

Parts of the standing masonry date back to the 16th century.

During the 1950s, the building was extensively stripped out and fitted with commercial installations.

The facade facing the main square was redesigned in 1986.
