Each summer, Petersberg castle becomes a prestigious venue for the annual theatre festival (called “Friesacher Burghofspiele“).

Since 1950, the unique ambience of the Petersberg castle has inspired the world of theatre.

The biggest open-air stage in Carinthia is located within the upper courtyard of the castle. The spectacular location of the stage provides a unique medieval feeling to the guests.
