History
The house was documented as early as the 17th century.
A new structure was erected on the site in 1970/71.
Architectural Description
Three Storeys
The building comprises three storeys and an attic level.
Horizontal Articulation
A continuous string course separates the ground floor from the upper floors. A broken string course divides the upper floors. Above, a soffit and projecting eaves form the visual upper edge of the facade.
Vertical Articulation
The windows of the upper floors are arranged in five vertical bays.
Second-Floor Windows
The windows of the second floor are framed by white stucco surrounds. A decorative stucco panel is positioned below the windows.
First-Floor Windows
The windows of the first floor are also framed by white stucco surrounds. Decorative stucco panels are positioned both above and below the windows.
Ground Floor
The ground floor features modern shopfronting.
Roof
Two steeply pitched roof slopes meet at a central ridge, forming a gable roof. Three dormers face the main square.
