Hauptplatz 10
Address and Location
The two-storeyed building at Hauptplatz 10 in Friesach stands on the south-western corner of the main square. The south wall of Hauptplatz 11 supports the north wall of Hauptplatz 10.
Eastern Facade
The eastern facade, facing the main square, features two rectangular windows in the upper storey. The two storeys are separated by a clearly defined string course, which divides the facade horizontally and emphasises the building’s simple composition. The facade is rendered in a light colour, with a simple and restrained design.
Ground Floor
The ground floor accommodates a small shop unit, marked by a large display window and an entrance fitted with wrought-iron gates.
Roof
The building is covered by a typical lean-to roof, which leans against the southern wall of the adjoining house at Hauptplatz 11. The roof includes a roof dormer, also facing the main square, adding a distinctive accent to the roofline. The roof is covered with red tiles, giving the building its traditional character.
