Architectural Description | Exterior
Horizontal Articulation
The two-storeyed building is horizontally articulated by a broad coved eaves, a moulded string course and a plinth zone.
Vertical Articulation
The facade facing the main square is organised into two sections, each articulated by two window bays. The western section of the facade projects slightly. This creates a subtle bend at an obtuse angle.
First Floor
The rectangular first-floor windows feature moulded surrounds and straight pediments, dating from the 19th century.
Ground Floor
At ground-floor level, the second bay from the left contains a basket-arched portal. The first bay from the left contains a rectangular doorway fitted with a timber door composed of multiple rectangular panels. This wall opening dates from around 1900. A niche in the western section of the facade preserves a fragment of a wall painting dating from the Renaissance period.
Corner Guard Stone
A guard stone is present at the exposed corner of the building. In the past, it protected against mechanical damage caused by carts and carriages.
Roof
The structure is crowned by a hipped roof clad with red tiles.
